That’s the advantage of have a stick that traded and still trades at unheard multiples times sales and true profits? He’s done a good job taking advantage of that plus utilizing all the free taxpayer money handed over to him via grants.
The guy business wise thou is probably the worst guy to be in charge of DOGE. Private corp esp with the rediculous valuations are a complete different design that of government and esp government services.
This guy is a leech and his goal will be placing himself and profiting by funneling everything thru his shell companies / business arrangements.
Musk is smart, he would sell his grandma’s false teeth if it brought more profit for him, he and Trump both share that GOD complex as all dictators do.

Something like DOGE is needed. Elons rollout has been clumsy and not without mistakes but the term “must be a govt job” became a phrase for a reason.
This is where we should look past the Trump is bad stance. Cutting dumb govt spending is not just common sense.

Agreed. But it's so slapdash and amateur that it may so more harm than good

24,000 workers improperly just had to be rehired. Another legal case involving the USAID shutdown went against the Trump admin. Multiple leases have had to come off the savings board because they were haphazardly selected and were actually needed. Others produced no savings and will increase the cost of providing services in affected areas.
And Elmo's personal wealth is down over 100 billion on paper. It seems that Musk has been more efficient at eroding his personal wealth than saving the government money.
That's notable. And funny asf.

Will doge cut trumpfs many golf trips?
Now that would be cutting the pork.

DOGE is doing its damnedest to hide its errors.
A comedy of errors you're all paying for in more ways than one

Previously, the government unit said it was terminating leases for at least 748 federal sites for a total of $660 million in estimated savings, as of March 2. Three days later, the DOGE revised the savings estimate down to $468 million for the same number of site closures.
Now, the agency has trimmed the number down by $118 million for a total of about $350 million in expected lease savings across 657 terminations. The DOGE website was last updated March 19.

The zeal to count savings before they're realized and the backtracking has been a delight to watch. True comedy of errors

Nah, they revise the numbers more than the jobs report, double count and use bad data.
Like saying they saved $100 by "canceling" a $100 contract that was already fulfilled and paid out
Or claiming $100 in savings by eliminating a $100 p card that only ever carried a $20 balance
