I forget the name, perhaps community can help me.
There is a game where MC is a illegitimate son of a landowner or noble, with some elvish blood. Father dies. And aparently there was a signet ring buried with your mother I think. Anyway, after that bit you are in major city with your manor and a maid. You have a step mother who has her own son she is trying to have replace you as head of the family. MC needs to get the church, nobles, and other factions to support his claim against hers. I vaguely remember there being a hidden basement where they try to curse/kill MC, there was a quest to corrupt the spell/sacrifice.
